car and we were not charged for using the train. I took my little Japanese friend with me and we entered the American car. There was plenty of room in this car and we enjoyed the trip.
After traveling for over 2 hours, we were at our destination. We were in the mountains and the air was nice and fresh. Toshi asked some directions and soon we were walking through the countryside to the village. I had a bag with me, containing everything I might need for the weekend and Toshi had a small bag with him as well.
During our walk to the village, I suggested that we rest and have lunch. In my bag were items from the military store that we could eat. I had a couple of bottles of Coke, cheese in a glass jar, a jar of peanut butter and lots of crackers. We found a delightful spot and enjoy our lunch and just being together. Toshi was so happy and kept smiling (so was I). Toshi soon learned to love the crackers with cheese or peanut butter. Then we washed it down with a Coke and had a candy bar for desert. I knew that Toshi enjoyed being with me as much as I enjoyed being with him.
At last we entered the beautiful, very old village. The old inn was very old and extremely beautiful. We were welcomed, had our shoes taken off, and taken to our room. Each room had a name, and the best that I remember the name of our room was “Wind and Trees,” or something to that effect. It had no furniture, just soft mats on the floor. It was very bare and still very beautiful. There were large sliding doors with shoji screens. We opened the shoji screens and then could see the beautiful private garden that was ours also. Toshi made arrangements for us to take a bath.
Then Toshi opened his bag and presented me with a beautiful kimono, his present to me, from him. I loved that kimono and still have it, but it is well used now. We took our clothing off and for the first time I was able to see this beautiful guy when he was nude. What a great body he had.
We put on our kimonos and went to the Japanese style bath. We took our kimonos off and sat on stools and washed our bodies with buckets full of the hot mineral water that were taken from the tub. When our bodies were clean, we went into a tub of very warm mineral water. The water came out of the mountain and direct to the tub. Toshi and I soaked in the mineral water and I cannot tell you how wonderful it felt to our bodies.
Much too fast, it was time to get out of the tub. We again wore our kimonos and went to our room. Toshi suggested we take a walk through the village, so we did. What a strange sight!
Here was a tall red headed American, with blue eyes and freckles, wearing only a kimono and sandals, with a cute young Japanese guy that was dressed the same. We had a wonderful afternoon seeing the sights, the temples, the shops, the houses and the people of the village.
After our grand tour, we returned to the inn and Toshi asked for tea in our room. A maid came with the hot water for tea. When she left, Toshi prepared the tea for us. We sat
