I grew up in a small midwestern town with two younger sisters that were always under foot. Even though I was only two years older than Betty, the oldest girl, both girls looked up to me as their big brother and always asked questions that they wouldn’t confide with our parents. Needless to say, I grew up quickly in order to stay on top and be able to guide them along their puberty.

I had my own room while Betty and Ann shared a bedroom. As I graduated high school, I set out for college in California thus, Betty took my room over and the two girls were able to have some privacy of their own.

During my high school years, Betty had a boy friend. Well, Bobby was kind of a nerd. Sandy blonde hair, skinny body, baggy pants and large black horn rimmed glasses that almost took over his entire face. Betty and Bobby were best of friends and as a big brother I wasn’t worried about any hanky panky going on between them. I just knew he wasn’t her type but was just a good friend. They studied together and even went to school dances. When Bobby was by himself, he always had his face buried in a book.

I was in my fourth year of college. I had a job in one of those fast food places that helped pay for some amenities that I often needed. My parents had set up a college fund for me and it was paying for my living accommodations and my schooling. I had only returned home on special occasions like Christmas or a family event.

Each time I came home, I was surprised how much my sisters had matured. They were both very attractive young ladies. Ann was getting ready to go to college and Betty was working at a local grocery store but was in her first year of college.

I would often call home to talk with Mom or Dad and wind up spending an extra half hour talking to the girls. Betty informed me that she and Bobby, now called just Bob, were engaged. I thought to myself, she is engaged to him, the nerd? He had already gotten a job and in just one year, was promoted to manager of a large department store. I guess all that reading paid off for him. The date was set for the wedding and I planned to fly home for the event.

Upon arriving at the airport, I was to be picked up by someone and taken to the homestead. I waited at the passenger loading ramp for what I thought was an excessive time when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I spun around to see this very handsome young man with a big smile on his face. "Hey Jim, I’ve been waiting for you inside." I knew I should know him but I just couldn’t figure from where. I told him that I was waiting for someone to pick me up. He laughed and said, "That’s me!”

I said, "Who are you?"

"You don’t recognize me? I’m Bob." He was now a very handsome young man and had grown a few inches taller and his body had matured into a sleek and quite muscular shape.
