It was one day on the field that I actually began talking to this Adonis of a man. Because of the extreme heat and the lack of a close water supply, he had also taken off his shirt. I didn’t mind one bit. I tried not to stare at him too much but it was hard not to with his perfectly muscled body complete with chiseled legs, strong arms, a fantastic chest with nipples that were begging to be licked and the beginnings of a 6 pack. Even though he was muscled his small, slender frame didn’t allow him to be a huge bodybuilder looking guy, which was perfect with me. His natural blond hair shined phosphorescently in the sunlight and contrasted his tanned skin but one of the most amazing features on him were his eyes. They were like two sapphires that lit up in the sun. They were just, amazing. So anyway he had his shirt off and after he sent the campers to run drills, I went up and just started to speak. I don’t remember half of the things I said but I remember that when he laughed I felt happier and the phase of awkwardness just flew by. After asking a bit, I learned that he had moved to New York from California for a job that he was recently laid off from. This was the best paying and easiest job he could find on such short notice and he was staying with a friend for about a month. We talked about everything, anything, and sometimes nothing at all. These conversations made me realize that I really liked Austin and I really began to wonder why I was even bothering with an asshole like Dean.

“Would you like to go dinner?” I didn’t even think the words before they flew out of my mouth.

“Yeah that would be great! Is Saturday ok with you?” He flashed a big smile.

“Sounds alright to me.” I gave him my number and told him where we could meet. I was scared simply for the reason that I didn’t think he knew this was a date. In my head it was anyway.

Saturday came much slower than I would have hoped but it came nonetheless. We met at a new Japanese restaurant and I was early by about 20 minutes. There was no way I was being late for this meal.
