my parents place,” Shaun and Tori had a laugh with that one.
“You and Zach have been together for years.”
“Yeah.”
“How come you still deal with his shit?”
“No idea but we’re still here.”
Zach kept on throwing the frisbee at Shaun while Shaun was talking to Tori. Shaun kept catching the frisbee and laughing.
“Right on,” said Shaun smiling and laughing.
“See ya later,” said Tori and then she was gone.
Shaun walked over to where Zach was and for a few hours after all they did was play frisbee.
Later on, on the beach Zach and Shaun had a party with some of Gabe’s friends. Shaun and Zach were sitting next to each other with their knees touching.
“So Shaun, you’re Gabe’s brother?” asked Billy, a friend of Tori’s.
“Yeah.”
“I heard you went all Hollywood and shit.”
“Not quite.”
“So Zach still with Tori?” asked Billy.
“Yeah kinda.”
“Come on dude, she’s freaking hot man. I’ll take her if you don’t want her. What are you any way, are you a fag or something?” with that remark Shaun left the party and Zach followed.
“Storms coming in” said Zach not sure what else to say.
“Yeah” said Shaun.
“It was nice seeing Tori” said Shaun.
“Yeah, I bet.”
“You guys have been together for years.”
“Yeah well she’s like my best friend besides Gabe. Tori and I are taking a little break right now.”
“Oh” said Shaun.
Both Zach and Shaun were drinking cans of beer.
“So are you dating anyone?” asked Zach as he turned around and faced Shaun.
“No, we just broke up,” said Shaun sounding depressed.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Is that why you’re really down here?” asked Zach.
“No, no, no. Yeah it is,” said Shaun laughing. Zach looked at Shaun and laughed to. “I just moved out of our place and my lease doesn’t start until the end of the month.”
“That’s cool”
Zach’s cell phone was ringing; he got it out of his jacket pocket and checked who it was.
“Sorry have to answer it,” said Zach to Shaun
“Hey Zach it’s Jeanne, can you please pick up Cody, we’re at Al’s place,” said Jeanne on the other end of the phone.
“I thought we weren’t going to leave him over there.”
“I know but something came up. Can you please pick Cody up?” asked Jeanne.
“Yeah, I’ll be there in a little bit.”
“Thanks,” and with that Jeanne hung up the phone.
“Sorry dude, I gotta go, have to pick up Cody.”
“It’s okay man, I can find someone to drive me back.”
“It was great hanging out with you these couple of days,” said Zach staring at Shaun.
“Yeah same here man,” said Shaun shaking Zach’s hand. Zach walked away from Shaun but not before taking one last hard look at Shaun.
