tears flowed down Nathan's cheeks. "I loved him too." Cade's mother held him as he sobbed. "How am I supposed to go on without him?"
Cade's mother looked deep into Nathan's brown eyes. "One day at a time." She handed Nathan a small box and a letter. "He wanted you to have this."
She turned and walked away. Nathan never saw her again. He opened the letter. It was from a Captain John Colman and it read,
Dear Nathan,
I am so sorry for your loss. Cade loved you and spoke of you often. I am also a gay man and wish one day to have the love the both of you shared. If I may, I'd like to visit you soon.
Sincerely,
Capt. John Colman
Nathan opened the box and inside was Cade's dog tags and a note:
My love,
If you are reading this then I am no longer living. I am giving you my dog tags because they were close to my body and heart at all times and you had both.
Please do not grieve. Live your life. Love again. Always remember me. I love you Nathan. I always will.
Cade
Nathan put on the dog tags and gently kissed the casket. "I'll see you soon. I love you."
As Nathan walked away the cemetery workers lowered the casket into the ground and began filling in the grave.
I know I am not the best gay erotica writer in the world but at least I try right? More to come...
