This night had been very bittersweet to him. Yeah, he was sad everything was coming to an end, but he was excited about what was to come.
With no one in sight, Randy took the opportunity to sneak out the side door. Outside the brisk Canadian air felt good. Quickly, he walked towards the back lot where he had parked. As he reached his, car a stranger screamed out, “Justin! Justin!” Trying his best not to come off as annoyed, he waved and quickly got inside. That was one thing he was not going to miss, he thought, although he would probably be called Justin or Sunshine for the rest of his life.
He pushed those thoughts out of his head and put the key in the ignition. The engine wouldn’t turn. He gave it a little gas and tried again. Still nothing. Frustrated he tried again. Nothing. He took the keys out and threw them to the passenger’s side. He was furious, all he wanted was to go back to his hotel and go to bed.
He rested his head on the steering wheel, completely unaware of the tapping at his window.
“Hey! Randy, you ok? Hello earth to Randy.”
The sound of his voice made him come alive. Quickly he got up and looked to the side. It was him it really was him. Randy had thought that he had left a long time ago, that was part of the reason for his bad mood, but no here he was tapping on his window. Randy rolled down the window.
“Gale! I’m so glad it’s you. I thought you had already left,” Randy said.
“Left? How could I have possibly left without saying good bye to my sunshine?”
Randy smiled. Gale was the only person in the world whom he didn’t mind if they called him Sunshine. Actually he liked it. It made him feel special. Randy laughed and tried to contain his smiling but it was so hard. Gale had always had this effect on him.
“So what’s wrong sunshine? Can’t get your car started?” Gale asked.
Randy got out of the car and closed the door. “No, dumb piece of junk it won’t start.”
“Well then it’s a good thing I came by to rescue you,” Gale said as he took a step closer to Randy. Randy took a step back and then another until his back was flat against the side of the car. He looked up at Gale; his big brown eyes stared at him intently. Randy closed his eyes and parted his lips just as Gale’s lips took his. Gale’s body pressed against Randy as he kissed him with more passion than he ever had done on screen.
When their lips finally parted Randy exhaled. Something about Gale’s kisses always left him breathless. Gale brushed a strand of hair away from Randy’s eyes and caressed his cheek. “I’m gonna miss your kisses,” Randy said as Gale pulled away from him.
Gale pressed Randy’s head to his chest and whispered; “Let’s not think about that right now, sunshine, now why don’t I give you a lift back to the hotel.” Randy nodded and they walked to Gale’s car and took off. It was a short ride to the hotel. Randy looked
