I’ve always heard that Georgia peaches were the juiciest and sweetest peaches in the US but it turns out there was something else that was juicy and sweet there, Jesse. I moved to Georgia for work and after all the long good byes, moved into a cozy but small ranch house. Although the community was nice, most weren’t tolerant of difference, say for example, homosexuality so I couldn’t really date because if I met someone, they would bring their friends to kick my ass. I was driving to work when I happened to notice that a guy on the side of the road had his car steaming. I drove to where he was and asked if he needed any help.

“Actually I need to call to get this thing towed and I need to get to work. I’m sorry for asking but can I use your cell?”

I let him use my phone because A: He asked so nicely and B: He was cute and asked in a subtle southern drawl.

The guy took only a few minutes to get here which was surprising but then again this was a small community. After he got his car towed and asked if he could get a ride to work. I said to hop in.

“My name’s Jesse. Do you live around here? Cause I know most of the people round here but I don’t know you.”

“My name’s Dan and I just moved from New York City. Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you too. I could never stand the city. You can’t see the stars out there. You’ll have to see them with me one day. There’s a spot near me where it’s like the sky is glimmering.”

We talked for the rest of the way there and it turned out that we worked at the same place. He invited me for some beers to thank me for the lift so we went to a club that he said was always great for picking up the ladies.

I didn’t notice how gorgeous he was until we got there. He had curly short platinum blond hair with a few brown spots making it look dirty and eyes that were so blue they looked frozen. Compared to my brown hair and green eyes he looked like a model. He had a beautiful tan that contrasted his hair and eyes amazingly. Although he was 5ft 10in and I am 6ft 1in he had a body to make up for it. He had muscled arms and legs from all the work he did around his aunt’s house (she owns a farm and he does most of the work there). He also had the most perfect chest I’ve ever seen. A six pack with a little tummy trail hair going down underneath his pants. He was also a gentleman with manners like, opening the door for others, getting a cat out of a tree etc. This boy was a classic Southern gentleman with the classic look. He couldn’t have been over 22 years old. I was still contemplating whether he was gay or not. Apparently my gaydar would need time to reset with a new location.

We bought a few beers and I pretended to get a few girls’ numbers while he actually did get girls’ numbers. After we got slightly hammered, I called a cab to drop us off. I figured he was straight and I was going to be lonely for the rest
