say anything to anyone? I know it sounds childish but I’m not comfortable with people knowing.” I replied.
“Scout’s honour!” he said with a mock salute.
I recounted the tale of how I got together with Tyler but I left out the more intimate details. Once I had finished James sat; looking slightly stunned.
“Please say something,” James remained silent, “Anything?”
“A gay boxer… that’s interesting, but really strange” he replied.
“Oh, shit” I swore, “I’ve scared you off.”
“It’s strange because I never thought I meet another,” he told me, with a cheeky grin.
“You had me really worried,” I said smiling and hitting him playfully.
We started playfully wrestling in the jacuzzi. Our lips lightly brushed against each other as we fought. We stopped. I leant in and lightly kissed James waiting to see if he resisted. James didn’t resist and it became a lot more intense. Over James’ shoulder I noticed my phone flashing with ‘1 message received’.
I pulled away from James and said, “I bet I know who that’ll be from.”
Tyler had written: ‘Hav 2 talk 2 u. No wher u r b ther soon. Luv Tyles xxx.’ I checked when the message had been sent, 18:20, it was now 18:43. It only took fifteen minutes to get to the gym from our place in a car.
I looked up from my phone. Tyler was standing a few feet from the jacuzzi; from the look in his eyes I could tell he was really mad. When Tyler got really mad he got violent. By this time James was out of the jacuzzi and exchanging steely glares with Tyler.
James is toned but he’s not much compared to Tyler. Tyler had him pinned to the wall in moments.
With his face directly in front of James’ Tyler spat out the words, “If I ever catch you anywhere near my boyfriend again, I swear I’ll twist your pretty little arms and legs right off,” Tyler turned to me, “If you care you’ll come home with me.”
I know I should probably have waited with James but the way Tyler had protected me was romantic and turned me on in a way. I ran after him and tried to give him a hug but he shook me off. He obviously needed to cool down. He drove me home but said nothing the whole drive back.
We arrived home and Tyler still hadn’t said a word. He silently went to the bedroom. He came back out with a denim jacket on.
“I’m going out,” he said gruffly.
I stepped in the way of the door and said, “I thought we were going to talk.”
His reply was “No, not now. I have to clear my head.”
I stayed in front of the door and put a hand on his chest.
“Joe, I am going out!” he said pushing me away, my head hitting the doorframe.
“Ok, you win, go out,” I said weakly. I’m sure I passed out from consciousness because I don’t remember being moved onto the couch. I opened my eyes to see Tyler holding a bag of frozen peas to my head and James sitting on the chair near to us.
“James?” I said giving a queried look towards Tyler.
“You’ve been unconscious for an hour. I went to
