“Um...no...I mean...go ahead.”
“Thanks. Man, these classes are getting harder and harder. I barely have any time to just hang out. We should really get together and hang more often. What’s been going on? You haven’t been around with the group lately.”
It’s because I’m having a harder time not devouring you whenever we are in the same vicinity. “Homework, classes…that whole deal. We only have 2 ½ weeks until the end of semester.”
“Don’t I know it.”
Why does he want to sit with me? Is this couple’s night a real date or is it two friends hanging out? Thoughts streamed through Jori’s mind at a sickening rate. He forced himself to calm down. Think calm. He coached himself through the next 15 minutes as they casually talked about their classes, the professors they shared and about mutual friends.
“Crap, I have to head to class.” Kris looked genuinely disappointed at having to leave so soon. He reached over before getting up and casually laid his hand on Jori’s thigh. “I’ll see you tonight,” he said with a small lift of one side of his mouth. He looked down at Jorells lips and back into his eyes before leaning forward and laying a short, sweet kiss on Jori’s lips. I’ll pick you up at your apartment at 5 so we have time to eat first.” He said as he turned and walked away toward the library exit.
Jori put his hand to his mouth and smiled to himself. “See you tonight.” He whispered to himself.

Damn it! How many outfits does it take to find one that is RIGHT? Jorell looked at himself in the mirror, disgusted that after trying on clothes for the past 20 minutes he STILL couldn’t find the perfect shirt—casual, yet flattering and appropriate. What is wrong with me? I have NEVER taken longer than 5 minutes to throw myself together, and here I am modeling in front of the stupid mirror as if I were a high school girl preparing for a prom! This is completely ridiculous. Even if he does want a real date, he probably just sees me as an easy fuck .We probably won’t even make it past dinner when he finds out I don’t have sex on the first date. He took one more, long look at himself in the mirror. He wore a long sleeve maroon button up, with three of the buttons opened revealing a silver chain that rested on his collarbone and a pair of dark Levi’s. This is going to have to work. I have tried on every shirt I own. He glanced at the clock. Oh God, he’ll be here any minute. Okay Jori, try to relax. Breathe! His entire body jerked at the sound of a knock at the door to his apartment. He swiftly walked to the door on unsteady legs. He straightened his shirt self-consciously before opening the door. Then he froze. Kris looked gorgeous and edible standing in the doorway with a sexy smile, holding an unexpected white rose. Jorell could only stare as Kris extended the flower. Oh. My. God. He brought me a flower. He stayed immobilized for a moment before reaching out and taking the rose from his date’s hand and bringing to his face with an expression of
