he spoke, I heard every word.
“You don’t have to sit on the floor you know; you can use a chair.”
“But I like the floor, it’s comfortable.” I couldn’t believe I had just said something so stupid.
He laughed, “You can be so cute sometimes.”
I couldn’t believe my ears. Jacob had just called me cute! “So you’re finally admitting you like men?” Oh shit, what had I just said? I just called the man I love, who prided himself on being comfortably straight, gay. “Sorry, I didn’t mean…”
“It’s OK. It was a good turn around from blushing like I had just kissed you. Now sit on a stool instead of the floor.” He offered me his hand to help me get up.
Next thing I knew I was being lifted partway up from the floor, and Jacob was kissing me. I thought “maybe it was an accident,” but I’m pretty sure he would have pulled away if it was. One of my hands was still in Jacob’s, so to test, I slid my other hand around his waist and deepened the kiss. He responded by lifting me up and pushing me against the counter, our bodies touching completely, and holding both my hands firmly. He began to kiss down my neck,
“Jacob, what are you doing?” I didn’t want him to stop, but he did.
He backed away from me and leaned against the island in his kitchen. “I’m sorry, I just thought you wanted to have me take your first kiss from a guy. At least, I was told that…” He trailed off. “Never mind.” He began to walk towards the stairs to his and Adam’s rooms.
I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back. I knew he could easily have stopped me from pulling him, but for some reason, he didn’t.
“I did, but you’re too late. James got it.”
“Then I won’t interfere with James’s territory.” He began to walk away again, so I was forced to pull him back, again.
“I never said that damn it. James is straight, so it was nothing.” I thought a moment and added, “this isn’t the Jacob I know and love, where is he?”
“ I was afraid you would have gotten over your original crush on me, so I thought you would reject me.” He rubbed his hand over his head, as if to run it through his hair, but he had a buzz-cut. “I guess you already knew about me, cause of that comment earlier.”
I shook my head. “I didn’t have a clue.” I turned his head towards me and kissed his lips again. “I didn’t have a crush on you, I loved you. I always will.”
He smiled and pulled me to him, kissing me again. ”Does that mean you’ll consider me?”
I laughed, but seeing his look of disappointment, I stopped. “Of course I will,” I ran my hand down his chest and rested it on his pecs, ”as long as you want me, I’m yours.”
With that, he picked me up with one arm under my knees, and the other around my shoulders. “I guess that means I don’t have to hide what I want to do to you?”
He took me to his room and laid me on his bed. “Nope, never again.” He shut the door and turned back to the bed.
“Good, I don’t think I could have stood it any longer.” He stripped his shirt off and lay
