Later in the day I would graduate from college with a dual degree. But before I could leave for my summer break I had to finish closing out the apartment that I’d shared with my roommate for the last three years. That required one more trip to put my last few personal items in storage. Once everything was closed and graduation was over I would fly to my aunt and uncles in Fresno, California, to begin a summer of fun in the sun. I had purchased an economy class one-way ticket to Sacramento International Airport by way of Denver. When I arrived at the airport my uncle would meet me transporting me by car back to Fresno.
