Hey Guys,

I wouldn't say I'm new to the site but I've only just started writing. The story I'm working on at the moment probably won't live up to some of you guys, your such fantastic writers, but for me I think it's a pretty good effort.

Anyway I need some advice. My story isn't just slash. The first 4 or 5 pages are just character introduction, their a little on the sexy side but nothing that will cause a bang.

My question is; Should I split the intro part from the slash and publish them seperately as two parts or just leave the story the length it is?

I ask because I know I personally tend to shy away from stories that threaten to turn into novels.

Yours, Nude

Depends on what you're going for - the stories that attract the most views & votes tend to be short & cum-drenched - sort of Wham! Bam! Thank you, Man! Those with more story line and character development sometimes attract a devoted following, but not the higher numbers. For me at least, the more complex, unique, and erotic they are the happier my dick is.

I wouldn't get too detailed in the intro because then you will lose the readers interest. Now the story is another matter, as long as it is hot and steamy it can be long. Good luck. I like to read steamy stories.

One of the biggest road blocks for me was my own opinion on what people might think of what I write. Should I write this? Should it be long? If I do it what are people going to think?

A wise person once said. (Her name was Cher) "To hell with what everyone thinks..just do it. If it goes bad you can allways go back and say, I shouldn't have doen that." Or, as the wise Yoda says..."Do or do not. There is no try."

Once I was able to tear down the wall of what people might think, my stories just started flying out. I wrote 4 short stories in just a couple weeks. And, I plan to work on 2 full length fiction novels this year.

I am very happy with what I have accomplished so far.

Hope this helps.

Brian
