Hi,
I've been lurking here for awhile and have read several stories. Now I'm planning on posting some of my own.
I notice there's not a huge amount of daily activity on the forums. Is that a reflection of the number of readers or would you say the number of posters is a small percentage of the people actually reading the stories?
With the volume of stories available what are the chances of a new story actually being read? I'd hate to put a lot of work into a saucy tale and never know if it's been read.
To answer your questions the lack of activity in the forums does not reflect on how many people read stories. I believe plenty more people read, unfortunately not as many decide to participate in the forum or the chatroom.
If you click on any story you will see the page views at the top. This varies depending on the author. We have some very talented writers that have achieved quite a strong following. Those authors have really high story views because users keep coming back to read their stories. There's also a place for comments at the end of each story and like with the page views some stories get a lot of feedback and some don't.
I'm not going to lie and say we're the best erotica site out there. There are others where your stories will probably get more views because those sites have been around a really long time and are more established. We have a strong but loyal community of people. Either way it doesn't cost anything to put your story online and if you do submit it you can still post your story wherever you want. So it's never a waste of your time to get published.
Hope that helps and if you have any other questions don't hesitate to contact me
