First of all, I'm new here, so I want to say:
"Hello, everybody!"
I don't know everything about how this site works, so forgive my aloofness. I don't mean to contradict myself, but I am very nervous about being on here and yet at the same time am extending the invitation to all to contact me anytime!
Anyway, my question is, what is "slash fiction"? I've seen the term used several times here and on other sites, but I don't know what it means. At first I thought it was a fetish thing, kind of like horror sex story, but that apparently isn't so.
Slash is the term for Gay (male) sex, which is hotter than normal sex, and is used here for the purpose of getting off and meeting other gay guys who get off on it.

And Slash also started out as a fan fiction term...with a lot of debate as to exactly why it was called slash. Think Kirk/Spock. Generally, Slash is also about two otherwise straight characters who are thrown together by the author.
This site is more gay erotica. Slash has a good deal of angst and romance involved as well (not that gay erotica doesn't). It's a really fine line, one I jump all the time, but there are purists out there who will debate minutia. _________________ ~James
