Having had a quick look through I notice that many stories are split into parts. These parts all seem to have been submitted about the same time. I therefore conclude that there is a upper limit to file sizes for text files.

If this is the case may I ask what this limit is?

Then I can tailor my story to accomodate this limit.

First let me say welcome to the site! It's good to have you here.

As far as the splitting of stories that's because lately we've been having problems with some of the longer stories getting cut off when they're submitted.

That can be fixed by splitting it into parts. If you're submitting the story as an attachment then that should not be a problem though. I think it only happens when people paste their story into the edit box.
