Hey They're still your parents and you're still their son. They might be angry but eventually they're going to realize that you are more important than their prejudices. I just wish I was brave enough to come out to mine.

When I came out, my dad was the only one that had problems with it. Finally I got pissed and turned his own words against him, and he hasn't said one word about it since. But there were the kids at school, one was my brother and the other was my best friend from fourth grade, who threw a basketball at my head on the Day of Silence...those things hurt at full strength...

Agreed! My mom is still taking it rather hard, but she's still going to love me no matter what. My dad on the other hand, not so much. But I've come to the conclusion that if he can't see past my sexuality to the person that I really am, the person I've always been, then he's not worth the time and energy I put into changing his mind. Hopefully they'll come around tho!!!
